On Friday, 29 May 2020, in the afternoon at 12:20, in Klaipėda, on Taikos pr., at the junction with Statybininkų pr., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Honda CR-V and a Skoda Octavia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 73-year-old driver of the Honda (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
