On Saturday, 30 May 2020, in the morning at 10:50, in Tauragės district municipality, on Stoties street, at the junction with Prezidento street, a Renault Megane ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the Renault (13 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.88‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
