On Sunday, 31 May 2020, in the afternoon at 13:19, in Klaipėda, on Bangų street near No. 13, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Jetta registered in Denmark and a BMW 530D Xdrive. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
