On Wednesday, 3 June 2020, in the afternoon at 16:40, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) national road (kilometre 21.10), a Volkswagen Caddy rolled over. The accident was caused by the 83-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (40 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
