On Thursday, 11 June 2020, in the evening at 21:01, in Kaunas, on Birutės street, at the junction with Pušų street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 and a Skoda Superb. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Audi (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.20‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
