On Saturday, 13 June 2020, in the evening at around 18:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Šiūparių village, on Agluonos street, at the junction with Liekno street, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a BMW 318 and a Volkswagen Passat. Five people were injured — a 4-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient), the 32-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient), a 9-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (hospitalized), a 19-year-old passenger of the BMW (treated as an outpatient) and a 3-year-old passenger of the BMW (severely injured, hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
