On Friday, 26 June 2020, in the evening at 19:45, in Kauno district municipality, Ringaudų village, on Gėlių street near No. 7, a Volkswagen Passat hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (3.09‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
