On Friday, 26 June 2020, in the evening at around 21:00, in Kauno district municipality, Babtų town, on Mokyklos street near No. 1, a Peugeot 307 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Peugeot (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. She was drunk (2.10‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
