On Wednesday, 1 July 2020, in the evening at 17:30, in Kėdainių district municipality, on Gegučių street near No. 2, at the junction with Lauko street, a collision with a moped occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Caddy and a Gilera Runner 50. Two people were injured — the 15-year-old driver of the Gilera (treated as an outpatient) and a 15-year-old passenger of the Gilera (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (30 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
