On Wednesday, 8 July 2020, at night at 1:31, in Vilnius, on Stepono Batoro street, at the junction with A. Kojelavičiaus street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Saab 9-3 and a Toyota RAV4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Saab, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.28‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 40 km/h.
