On Monday, 13 July 2020, in the evening at 22:21, in Klaipėda, on Minijos street, at the junction with Sulupės street, a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved a Citroen C5 and a Hyosung. One person was injured — the 28-year-old driver of the Hyosung (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Citroen, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 40 km/h.
