Unlicensed Volkswagen Polo driver in crash with MAN truck in Baisogalos town
On Monday, 13 July 2020, in the evening at 20:35, in Radviliškio district municipality, Baisogalos town, on the Jonava–Kėdainiai–Šeduva national road (kilometre 78), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Polo and a MAN TGX. One person was injured — the 16-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 16-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
