On Wednesday, 15 July 2020, in the evening at 18:02, in Kalvarijos municipality, on the Alytus–Simnas–Kalvarija national road (kilometre 49.60), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo FH, a Kempf, a PTL-24 and a John Deere. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Volvo (3 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober.
