On Tuesday, 21 July 2020, in the afternoon at 14:30, in Lazdijų district municipality, Jonkiškės village, on the Alytus–Seirijai–Lazdijai national road (kilometre 25.30), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Ford EBL (TOURNEO) registered in Poland and a Saab 9-3. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Ford (11 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober.
