On Sunday, 26 July 2020, in the evening at around 17:00, in Prienų district municipality, on the Liepalotas–Ašminta–Pakuonis regional road (kilometre 5.22), an Audi A6 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Audi (2 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober. A 64-year-old passenger of a Renault Megane Scenic was drunk (1.84‰). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
