On Saturday, 1 August 2020, in the evening at around 19:00, in Vilnius, on Maironio street near No. 27, a Toyota RAV4 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 4-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Toyota (11 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
