On Saturday, 8 August 2020, in the afternoon at 16:20, in Vilkaviškio district municipality, on the Vinčai–Pilviškiai–Vilkaviškis national road (kilometre 24.23), a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved a MTZ Belarus-920.3, a Suzuki, a Yamaha YZF-R6 and a 2PTS-6 Nenurodoma. Two people were injured — the 54-year-old driver of the Yamaha (severely injured, hospitalized) and the 31-year-old driver of the Suzuki (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 64-year-old driver of the MTZ (47 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
