On Tuesday, 11 August 2020, in the morning at 10:15, in Klaipėda, on Taikos pr. near No. 115B, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525 and a Nissan QASHQAI+2. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the BMW (5 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
