On Thursday, 6 August 2020, in the afternoon at 12:21, in Jonavos district municipality, on Prezidento street near No. 4, an Opel Signum hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Opel (16 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
