On Thursday, 20 August 2020, in the afternoon at 13:30, in Klaipėdos city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 310), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Hyundai Trajet and a Volvo V60. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the Hyundai (29 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
