On Friday, 21 August 2020, in the evening at 19:45, in Molėtų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Utena main road, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a vehicle and a Toyota RAV4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
