On Monday, 14 September 2020, in the afternoon at 16:15, in Kaunas, on Sukilėlių pr., at the junction with Žeimenos street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Solaris Trollino 12 and a Mercedes-Benz. Three people were injured — a 4-year-old passenger of the Solaris (treated as an outpatient), a 41-year-old passenger of the Solaris (treated as an outpatient) and a 63-year-old passenger of the Solaris (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Solaris (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
