On Wednesday, 16 September 2020, in the morning at around 8:00, in Kaunas, on M. K. Čiurlionio street, at the junction with Karaliaus Mindaugo pr., on a bridge, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (30 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
