On Sunday, 20 September 2020, in the evening at 17:20, in Biržų district municipality, Biržų village, on Rožių street, at the junction with Agluonos street, an Opel Astra hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.84‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
