On Sunday, 27 September 2020, in the evening at around 20:00, in Skuodo district municipality, on the Skuodas–Plungė national road (kilometre 4.89), a Volkswagen hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 81-year-old pedestrian (severely injured, hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (13 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. The driver was sober.
