On Thursday, 1 October 2020, in the evening at around 18:00, in Telšių district municipality, on the Viešvėnai–Luokė–Upyna–Dirvonėnai regional road (kilometre 0.20), a bicycle hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 70-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
