On Saturday, 3 October 2020, in the evening at 17:15, in Panevėžio district municipality, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 and a Volvo V50. One person died — a 33-year-old passenger of the Volvo. Two people were injured — a 3-year-old passenger of the Volvo (hospitalized) and the 44-year-old driver of the Volvo (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Audi (28 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
