On Saturday, 10 October 2020, in the evening at 20:35, in Vilniaus district municipality, Didžiasalio village, on Šumsko pl., at the junction with Filaretų street, a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 406 and a Volkswagen Touran. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (1.29‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
