On Wednesday, 21 October 2020, in the evening at around 19:00, in Širvintų district municipality, Liuliškių village, a Volvo V60 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person died — a 47-year-old pedestrian. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Volvo (32 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
