On Friday, 30 October 2020, in the evening at 22:10, in Vilnius, on Olandų street, at the junction with Krivių street, a Mercedes-Benz CLS350 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. Two people were injured — a 38-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient) and a 10-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (3 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
