On Saturday, 7 November 2020, in the afternoon at 16:10, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 101.94), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 530 and a Volvo S80. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the BMW (9 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.10‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
