On Saturday, 21 November 2020, in the morning at 9:30, in Trakų district municipality, on Lauko street, at the junction with Vilties street, a Volvo F16 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Volvo (20 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.27‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
