On Monday, 30 November 2020, in the afternoon at 14:35, in Utenos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 125), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525 and a Toyota Corolla Verso. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the BMW (3 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident there was freezing rain, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
