On Wednesday, 9 December 2020, in the evening at 17:50, in Šakių district municipality, on the Pilviškiai–Šakiai–Jurbarkas national road (kilometre 26.15), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Scania P 94 D and a Toyota Avensis. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Scania (10 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
