On Saturday, 12 December 2020, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Vilniaus district municipality, on the Vilnius–Minskas main road (kilometre 33.99), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Scania registered in Belarus and a DAF FT XF105.460 registered in Russia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Scania (25 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
