On Saturday, 12 December 2020, at night at 4:27, in Vilkaviškio district municipality, on the Marijampolė–Kybartai–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 41), a car hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 19-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of a car (5 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties.
