On Wednesday, 16 December 2020, in the morning at 6:50, in Kaunas, on Draugystės street, at the junction with Ties Pramonės g. 29, a BMW 3ER Reihe hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person died — a 81-year-old pedestrian (later died from the injuries). The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober.
