On Monday, 28 December 2020, in the evening at 19:27, in Kėdainių district municipality, Slikių village, on the Jonava–Kėdainiai–Šeduva national road (kilometre 20.97), a Volkswagen Passat hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.09‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
