On Friday, 22 January 2021, in the evening at 17:27, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Valkininkų g s –Daugai–Alytus national road (kilometre 39), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra-B and a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Three people were injured — a 39-year-old passenger of the Mercedes-Benz (treated as an outpatient), a 36-year-old passenger of the Opel (severely injured, hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt) and a 28-year-old passenger of the Mercedes-Benz (treated as an outpatient).
