On Thursday, 21 January 2021, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Klaipėda, on Rambyno street near No. 5, a Honda CR-V hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 84-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the Honda (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. She fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
