On Sunday, 21 February 2021, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Klaipėda, on Biržų street, at the junction with Pievų street, an Audi A6 Avant hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.01‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
