On Monday, 8 March 2021, in the morning at around 8:00, in Vilnius, on Pilaitės pr., at the junction with Spaudos street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Movano and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Opel (20 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
