On Wednesday, 17 March 2021, in the morning at 7:10, in Šilalės district municipality, Burkėnų village, on Pušies street, a Nissan Note ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Nissan, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
