On Friday, 16 April 2021, in the afternoon at 12:40, in Kauno district municipality, Šlienavos village, on J. Biliūno street, at the junction with Tvenkinio g. 1 street, a Citroen C5 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Citroen (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.69‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
