On Friday, 14 May 2021, in the evening at 21:30, in Šiauliai, on Dubijos street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and an Audi A4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (14 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.47‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
