On Wednesday, 16 June 2021, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Zarasų district municipality, on the Zarasai–Mukuliai–Vencavai–Antalieptė regional road (kilometre 0.80), a bicycle hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 85-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by a 15-year-old cyclist, who failed to choose a safe speed. She fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
