On Thursday, 17 June 2021, in the afternoon at 13:40, in Kaunas, on Žemaičių pl. (prie įvažiavimo į kelią A1 DP), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo FH registered in Estonia and a Mercedes-Benz. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Volvo (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
