On Sunday, 4 July 2021, in the morning at 8:15, in Kėdainių district municipality, on the Jonava–Kėdainiai–Šeduva national road (kilometre 60.14), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Volvo V70 and an Opel Astra Sports Tourer registered in Poland. Two people were injured — the 61-year-old driver of the Volvo (treated as an outpatient) and the 38-year-old driver of the Opel (hospitalized).
