On Thursday, 15 July 2021, in the morning at 6:34, in Kaunas, on J. Semaškos street, at the junction with Paltiškių street, a BMW ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 53-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
