On Friday, 16 July 2021, at night at around 2:00, in Lazdijų district municipality, Cibūlių village, on the Veisiejai–Vainiūnai–Barzdžiūnai–Liškiava regional road (kilometre 15.60), an Opel Vectra registered in Poland rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Opel (3 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
